While family doctors and gynecologists typically prescribe Depotrust and Lyndavel for economic purposes, these brands of injectable contraceptives are also recommended by most rural health centers. However, between the two, Depotrust has a more established name than Lyndavel. In addition, the low-price of Lyndavel has been associated with its least amount of 1 ml solution compared to Depotrust which has a 3ml drug solution for injection. Misinformed consumers tend to worry that Lyndavel may not be effective for use unlike Depotrust. Interestingly, Lyndavel and Depotrust have the same manufacturer (Umeda) and distributor (DKT).
